As a public organization we are required to ensure that we are appropriately utilizing space in all our division schools.
The following guiding principles are used when reviewing school attendance boundaries:
- School enrolments will be balanced with school size, to support student learning
- Neighborhoods will be kept together, whenever possible
- Safety of students will be maintained, and bussing times limited for student riders
- Schools will have space for enrolment growth
Boundary Exemption Procedure
A parent may request their child be placed in a school other than the designated boundary school. Approvals are based on educational reasons which include unique learning challenges or social situations.
