French
The Board of Trustees for the Grande Prairie Public School Division (GPPSD) supports second language learning initiatives. As a result, French as a Second Language instruction is mandatory for GPPSD students in grades 4-6.
In grades 9-12, French is offered as an option at Charles Spencer High School, Grande Prairie Composite High School and The Bridge Network Outreach School.
French Immersion is offered at École Montrose for students in Preschool and Kindergarten to Grade 8. The school also offers Late Entry French Immersion for Grade 5 students. Grade 9 students wishing to continue with French Immersion in high school will attend Charles Spencer High School. Learn more.
