GPPSD's contractor, First Student Canada, works with us to make every effort to get students to and from school safely in all weather situations.
Buses will not operate if the temperature in Grande Prairie at 6:00 a.m. is -40 Celsius and colder or is -45 Celsius with windchill.
The temperature and windchill measure are taken from the Environment Canada website.
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately (i.e. hats, gloves, snow pants, winter jacket, winter boots). Read GPPSD's Administrative Procedure: AP-132 Inclement Weather and Other Emergencies.
