Current GPPSD families can apply to KinderPAL anytime during the school year by calling their child's school. New families joining us register for Kindergarten and click the KinderPAL Program of Choice in your application using the button below.
New Families to GPPSD and Current GPPSD Families with current Preschool or Pre-Kindergarten students can register and apply for the next school year by clicking the button below. Note: GPPSD's annual registration period typically opens the second week of March for the upcoming school year.
What to Expect by Choosing the KinderPAL Program of Choice
Children will experience full school day learning with Kindergarten programming for half their time, and the other half is KinderPAL. A certified teacher provides provincial Kindergarten curriculum instruction, and a KinderPAL instructor provides KinderPAL programming.
KinderPAL programming involves a classroom setting where students experience peer-based play as they continue developing and growing their knowledge; helping increase readiness for Grade 1. Watch our video to learn more, or see our KinderPAL Parent Handbook.
KiniderPAL is offered at the following schools, depending on enrollment:

If your neighbourhood school does not offer KinderPAL, families can apply to enroll at a school offering KinderPAL. Families will be responsible for transportation and students will be required to return to their neighbourhood school for Grade 1.
KinderPAL is a fee-based program. Families can either paya fee of $350 per month or pay the full amount up front. Families will be required to register for the full year.
Please choose the correct type of registration below. You will be one of the following: a New Family, a Current Family with a Preschool or Pre-Kindergarten student, or a Current Family registering for Kindergarten.
New Families to GPPSD will apply for their child to attend KinderPAL by following these steps:
New users create a SchoolEngage account and log in. Help article.
Select 'Add Student'
Select 'Student'
Select the student name from your student list you wish to complete the form for
Complete the 'New Student Registration Form' for the correct school year
On page 2, under the heading Programs of Choice, click the 'I would like to apply to have my child attend the KinderPAL program'
Note: New Families may apply to the program in the middle of the school year. Applications will be reviewed.
Current GPPSD Families with Preschool or Pre-Kindergarten student(s) go directly to your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Within your child's Kindergarten registration is the KinderPAL Program of Choice option. Follow these steps:
Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal
Select SchoolEngage
Select the student from your student list you wish to complete the form for
Complete the 'Kindergarten Registration Form'
On page 2, under the heading Programs of Choice, click the 'I would like to apply to have my child attend the KinderPAL program'
Applications for the next school year open the same day as New Student Registration and close on the Friday of the second week of September.
Current GPPSD Families registering a New Student for Kindergarten, go directly to your PowerSchool Parent Portal to access SchoolEnage account. Within SchoolEngage, you will add your New Student. Follow these steps:

Select 'Student'
Select the student name from your student list you wish to complete the form for
Complete the 'New Student Registration Form' for the correct school year
