We are thrilled to announce that Laura Noel, a dedicated and innovative teacher from Parkside Montessori, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Prime Minister's Certificate of Teaching Excellence. This award recognizes Laura's exceptional ability to inspire and empower young learners through creative and empathetic teaching methods.

Miss Laura, as she is affectionally known by her students, is well-known for her multi-sensory learning opportunities that encourage them to explore their curiosity and engage deeply with their studies and community. Her initiatives, such as the "grand-buddies" program with a local seniors' home and the "kindness ninjas" project, foster a sense of community and empathy among her students. These projects demonstrate the positive impact of her teaching philosophy and her commitment to making a difference both in and out of the classroom.

“Laura’s work not only engages and inspires her students but also enriches her entire school community. We are incredibly proud of her achievements and grateful for her contributions to our division." - Sandy McDonald, Superintendent, GPPSD
