2024 Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Student Award

We are excited to share some wonderful news from our school community! Kairoh Winiandy, a Grade 6 student at Hillside Community School, has been awarded the distinguished 2024 Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Student Award.

On June 10, 2024, Kairoh received this honour during a ceremony at Government House in Edmonton, where nine exceptional students from across Alberta were celebrated. This award, hosted by the Lieutenant Governor's Office and The Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA), recognizes students who have shown incredible growth through determination, initiative, and independence, leading to both academic and personal success.

As a member of the Hillside Community School, Kairoh’s achievement fills the entire school community with pride. He is described as a student who demonstrates respect and a commitment to fostering a sense of belonging.
