Grande Prairie Public School Division has earned national acclaim for the second year in a row, receiving two awards from the Canadian Association of Communicators in Education (CACE). These awards celebrate a commitment to connecting with students, staff, families and the greater community. They feature students and staff from Maude Clifford Public School, Isabel Campbell Public School and Grande Prairie Composite High School.

The awards are:

Coup de Coeur for Kindergarten: Our Story. This project is a series of 3 videos that bring families into the classroom, capturing the everyday moments where our young students learn, explore, and build connections. It provides insight into our school's welcoming environments, where success is more than academics; it’s about curiosity, friendship, and growth in safe, supportive spaces.

Award of Distinction for the Kindergarten Registration Campaign. The redesign of our campaign reflects the modernization of our websites and our focus on our students. Visual storytelling is at the heart of the campaign, giving families insight into our mission of 'every student succeeding.' Our stories show how students have opportunities to discover their unique interests and strengths as they go from kindergarten to high school and beyond.

The division extends its gratitude to the students and staff featured in the projects. Because of them, prospective families can imagine the possibilities for their child's success in GPPSD schools. Shannon Stambaugh, the division's communications officer, accepted the awards on behalf of the division in October at the national CACE conference in Calgary.
